The colors of the leaves on the left are laid in, as a contrast to the bluff and future flowers.
Most of the underpainting is done, now the more detailed painting is starting.
So far mostly color fields have been put in, in a general rather abstract way.
Notice the spots of orange, yellows and reds added in the lower areas. They will offset the intense colors of the flowers when they are painted in.
