From inking the plate to the finished engraving.
Felt
laid down.
Then the first felt that is on the press is laid smoothly
down, covering the plate, engraving paper and paper towels.
After that the second felt is laid down the same way and the plate is ready
to be run through the press.
The felt is thick wool to provide even pressure on the plate.
